Dear Editor:
As a reader of talawas, I like to register my strong displeasure of your posting of
Kiet Tan's article posted in talawas on 21.3.05.
In my humble opinion, Kiet Tan's article does not possess any literature or cultural value, its content has no valuable thoughts or controversial ideas worthy of reading, pondering or discussing by talawas readers.
Of course I respect Mr Kiet Tan's right to express (please note I have not accused his piece as pornographic) but there are other forums, on paper as well or in the World Wide Web, that better fit this article than talawas. By posting this piece, I think talawas shows a sense of disrespect to its readers who want (and expect) it to maintain the high standard of an intellectual forum and cultural magazine.
I hope you will make better editorial judgement in the future and to keep this type of incident to happen from happening again.
Sincerely,
